5 Carbohydrate-Rich Foods for Weight Loss

Who wants to lose weight, should do without carbohydrates if possible? That does not have to be! With these carbohydrate-rich foods the pounds tumble!

Low Carb is still absolutely trendy when it comes to losing a few kilos. But what can those do who find it simply too difficult to do without all carbohydrate-rich foods such as pasta, rice and the like? Quite simply – they don’t!

These foods belong on every diet plan

There are some foods that are full of carbohydrates, but are also considered very healthy and help you lose weight. The top five are listed here.

1. Oatmeal

You love cereal for breakfast, but you want to lose a few pounds? Then oatmeal could be the perfect alternative for you! They are full of dietary fibres that boost metabolism and digestion and also provide us with various vitamins. Even healthier are oat flakes in combination with low-fat curd cheese or fat-reduced Greek yoghurt and with lots of fruit. Berries or banana pieces are good examples.

2. Quinoa

Quinoa is considered a true powerhouse: the grain contains many vegetable proteins that have been proven to keep the blood sugar level constant and thus keep us full for a long time, reduce cravings and help build muscles. Additionally Quinoa is full of iron, magnesium, vitamins and other important nutrients.

3. Beans

In former times often only regarded as a small supplement of the Sunday roast, beans have developed meanwhile to the insider tip when slimming down. They not only contain the important B vitamins, but also stimulate the metabolism.

Tip: They still go particularly well with meat. Especially in the evening, beans and a chicken steak are a perfect combination of healthy carbohydrates and proteins.

4. Wholemeal bread and noodles

Good news for all noodle junkies: Nobody has to do without pasta at noon or a slice of bread in the evening to lose weight. Only the right products should be used – wholemeal ones. Because whole grain contains many healthy ballast materials and is well-known for keeping us full for a long time. The taste does not get lost thereby also: Whole grain noodles with Pesto and Kirschtomaten are for example a healthy and at the same time tasty lunch!

5. Sweet potatoes

Healthy fries – is that really possible? But logical! If the fries are made from sweet potatoes. And luckily, their delicious taste has made them one of the most popular snacks in recent years. But the vegetables don’t just taste good – they also give the metabolism a real power boost and ensure that the blood sugar level doesn’t rise too high. Aftertaste of ravenous appetite!
