How to Make Your Eyes Look Bigger in a Few Steps

We give you tips on how to make your eyes bigger. For those who wear glasses, we have great beauty tricks to make your eyes look more radiant!

You need this to make the eyes bigger

  • Eye shadow (one light and one dark shade)
  • Primer for eye make-up
  • Kajal (in white or pink)
  • Black mascara
  • Concealer
  • Brushes

Step-by-step instructions to make the eyes bigger

  1. To open the eye and the view optically, you should first work with a bright and shiny eye shadow. To make sure that this lasts as long as possible, it is advisable to apply an eye shadow base or a special primer for eye make-up to the entire eyelid. Only then apply the light tone to the eyelid with a brush.
  2. Dab a little concealer under the eyes so that no shadows cloud the view.
  3. Now use a thin brush to pick up a dark, matte eye shadow and draw a thin line near the upper lash line. Alternatively, an eyeliner can also be used. Eyeshadow has the advantage, however, that unlike eyeliner it forgives small inaccuracies and the eyelid line can be corrected more easily.
  4. Work the same dark eyeshadow into the eyelid crease and blend well – either with a brush or with your fingers. There should be no hard edges.
  5. Now take a light kohl pencil and trace the upper and lower waterline with it. If the contrast with a white kajal on the waterline seems too strong, you can also use a light pink tone.
  6. Apply some dark eyeshadow to the lower lash line and blend.
  7. Finally, mascara the eyelashes. With the eyelash brush, it is best to run two or three times over the lashes so that the wow effect does not disappear behind the lenses.

Extra tips to make the eyes bigger

  • The dark, matte tone gives the eye a frame. Shimmering tones, on the other hand, make the eye stand out visually. A combination of matt dark and light shimmering tones is therefore ideal for short-sighted wearers of glasses.
  • The eyelashes may be mascaraed at the end of the treatment, if desired in deep black. Brown mascara often gets lost behind the lenses.
  • This make-up technique is especially suitable for women who have drooping eyelids. These are optimally concealed by the mixture of shiny and matt tones.
  • If you use eyeliner to add a long eyelid line and apply a little more colour, you can conjure up trendy Smokey Eyes in no time at all.
  • The eyebrows are also important. They give the face a frame and thus ensure expression. You can fill in small gaps with brow powder, a soft eyebrow pencil or a brow ink. Place shimmering highlighters under the eyebrows (and in the corners of the eyes!), this will open the view visually and make the eyes look bigger.
