Is Laser Hair Removal Safe While Breastfeeding?

Unwanted hair is a problem for all women. This is even more important in pregnant and nursing mothers. Because at this point they are concerned about the baby’s health.

Waxing is a completely natural product that takes place within the classical methods of hair removal. Therefore, during pregnancy and lactation can be waxed. Other than that, we encounter laser as modern hair removal methods. One of the most common questions asked by mothers and expectant mothers during pregnancy and breastfeeding is “Is laser epilation possible during pregnancy or breastfeeding?”

Melanin producing hormone increases during pregnancy. As a result, melanin pigment increases. This results in darkening of the hair and staining of the skin. These melanin-dense hairs are affected by the laser in laser hair removal. Since this does not disappear completely during breastfeeding, the process will be more painful depending on the sensitivity of the skin.

Since the hairs will return to their former state during breastfeeding, acting slowly for laser hair removal (usually after the end of pregnancy 3. or 6. postponement until after the month) will be more useful.
