Tired eyes? Then you will probably also make this make-up mistake!

You just don’t look awake and fresh – even though you have tried everything? Then this make-up mistake is probably responsible for it …

You are finished with your make-up, one look in the mirror and you still have the feeling that you do not look more awake. And that although you actually slept super and long enough? Well, then you are probably making a make-up mistake that many people make.

Little tired eyes? That’s the mistake!

Usually, most people want Va-va-Voom eyelashes that best reach up to the eyebrows. At least that’s what our wish list says. In order to achieve the result, most people apply 46288240 layers of mascara, which makes the lashes look viiiiiiii much fuller and more voluminous. Um… No! This is exactly the flaw that makes our eyes look much smaller. Because the trillions of layers of mascara overshadow our eyes because the lashes are suddenly so thick and dark.

By the way, lash extensions, which are very thick and long, have a similar effect. The lashes often look like a fan and the eyelid area is hardly visible. This is a typical flaw that causes exactly the opposite of what most people actually want to achieve. Especially with the 3D lash technique we see this effect very often. If you like the look, you can still wear it just the same. If you don’t want that, you can do the following:

You do it better this way

You can prevent the small-eyes effect by masking the lashes, especially on the outer lash line. This makes them appear fuller at the sides and opens the eyes optically. That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t apply any mascara to the front lashes, but one layer is enough. The front lashes are a little shorter anyway.

Also an eyelash curler and a light kohl pencil in the waterline can optically enlarge the eyes. If you want to wear fake eyelashes, then you can cut the eyelash strip in two or three parts and only apply the outer parts, this gives a mega cat-eye effect and still looks super natural.
